Mia Kombucha – A Sparkling Taste of Italian Wellness

Mia Kombucha: Sparkling Italian Wellness in a BottleMia Kombucha: Sparkling Italian Wellness in a Bottle

Born in 2021 from the vision of four friends, Mia Kombucha made the audacious leap of introducing authentic, artisan kombucha to the Italian market. Starting with small batches shared among family and friends, the venture evolved into a purpose-built laboratory in Varese, where every step from tea infusion to gentle fermentation is performed with care, using only natural ingredients and no additives, concentrates, or preservatives.

Mia’s six signature flavours  are Original, Raspberry, Lemon, Ginger, Mango, and Hops. They all reflect simplicity, authenticity, and Italian flair, each crafted to deliver both taste and wellness value.

“We chose the statement ‘Italian Kombucha’ because it perfectly embodies our mission and values. At Mia Kombucha, we are deeply committed to showcasing the finest aspects of Italian agriculture and craftsmanship in every bottle we produce. This means carefully selecting 100% organic, locally sourced ingredients from Italy’s rich and diverse terroirs – ensuring authenticity, exceptional quality, and a profound respect for tradition, while embracing innovation and avant-garde products.

Our approach goes far beyond simply crafting kombucha. It is about honouring the land, the growers, and the heritage behind each ingredient. From cold-pressed organic fruits to ginger cultivated by the Italian Ginger Consortium, hops sourced from the Italian Hops Company, and lemons and mangoes ripened under the Sicilian sun, every element tells a story of Italy’s natural beauty and agricultural excellence.

With this identity, we aim to bring a uniquely Italian experience to the global kombucha community – one that celebrates sustainability, flavour, and the enduring passion of Italian artisanship. Calling ourselves Italian Kombucha is more than a label; it is a promise to deliver genuine quality and the vibrant spirit of Italy in every brew.”

A Refreshing Highlight at Monte Faete

At our neurowellness retreat in Monte Faete, Tuscany (July 2025), Mia Kombucha stole the show. Served chilled between mindful movement sessions, relaxing pool breaks and forest-view dining, it quickly became the beverage of choice. Guests raved about its fizzy elegance and delicate balance of sweetness and tang; many came back for seconds, especially the lemon and ginger variants, which offered clean, invigorating clarity. It wasn’t just a drink, but an experience, harmonising with the retreat’s ethos of mind-body renewal.

Health in Every Sip

Mia Kombucha aligns perfectly with the neurowellness principle: promoting gut-brain harmony, inflammation balance, and gentle detoxification all through a handheld drink.

Gut Health & Probiotics

Fermented with a live SCOBY, Mia Kombucha is rich in probiotics, beneficial microorganisms that support a balanced gut microbiome, ease digestion, reduce bloating, and support nutrient absorption.

Antioxidant & Anti-inflammatory Support

Packed with tea-derived polyphenols and flavonoids, each can support the immune system and fight free radicals, reducing oxidative stress and promoting internal balance.

B Vitamins & Energy

Mia’s kombucha naturally contains B vitamins such as B1, B2, B6, B12, and folate.Vital for energy metabolism, cognitive clarity, mood stabilization, and stress resilience.

Detoxification & Liver Support

The fermentation process creates glucuronic acid and glucosamines, compounds thought to support liver detoxification and joint health. Though human studies are limited, animal data suggests positive effects on liver function and inflammation reduction.

Cardiovascular and Metabolic Benefits

Preclinical studies indicate kombucha may help reduce cholesterol, triglycerides, and support heart-healthy lipid profiles and may even assist with weight and metabolic regulation through gut-microbiome modulation.
