In the heart of Knightsbridge, Jumeirah Carlton Tower invites guests to experience Chelsea in Bloom through a different lens this May — one shaped not by season alone, but by the cosmos.
Inspired by this year’s theme, Out of This World, the hotel transforms into a destination of wonder, where floral design, immersive experiences, and Arabian heritage converge. What unfolds is not simply a celebration, but a journey — one that moves between earth and sky, between tradition and imagination.
A Floral Portal: The Astrolabe Installation

At the centre of the experience stands The Astrolabe — a striking floral installation that transforms the hotel’s façade into a celestial landmark.
Created by Chelsea in Bloom gold medallist Paul Thomas, the installation draws inspiration from ancient travellers guided by the night sky. Stars, desert landscapes, and a sense of discovery are woven into a visual narrative that references the astrolabe — an Arabic navigational instrument once used to chart the heavens and guide journeys across vast distances.
Here, the installation becomes more than decoration. It reflects Jumeirah’s heritage of hospitality — welcoming travellers, creating spaces of connection, and offering guidance, whether across continents or through experience itself.
A Stay Guided by the Stars

Extending this sense of exploration, Jumeirah Carlton Tower introduces the Astrolabe Discovery Stay — an experience that invites guests to rediscover both the city and the sky.
Private balconies become quiet observatories, each equipped with a monocular that offers a new perspective on London. By day, the skyline reveals itself in detail; by night, attention shifts upward, toward constellations and the subtle rhythm of the sky.
The experience continues through a curated cocktail collection — a six-drink menu, each with its own story and character — alongside a Laurent-Perrier Champagne pop-up positioned outside the hotel, offering a refined vantage point from which to take in the installation.
Restoration Through Ritual

For those seeking a slower, more restorative pace, Talise Spa introduces the Jagaraga Ritual.
Rooted in Indonesian traditions, the treatment combines fluid, orbit-inspired movements with therapeutic massage and celestial sound healing. Designed to release tension and restore balance, the ritual works to align body and mind through rhythm, breath, and chakra-focused frequencies.
It is an experience that reflects the wider theme of the celebration — movement guided not by urgency, but by awareness.
A Universe for All Ages

The narrative extends beyond adults, inviting families to explore through the Astral & Floral Scavenger Hunt.
Designed as an interactive journey, the experience encourages younger guests to engage with themes of stars, nature, and navigation through play and discovery. Those who complete the trail are entered into a prize draw for an astrology-themed family guide, opening the door to further exploration across London — from the Royal Observatory Greenwich to the Peter Harrison Planetarium.
A New Perspective on Travel
More than a seasonal installation, Chelsea in Bloom at Jumeirah Carlton Tower offers a different way of experiencing the city.
It is a reminder that travel does not always require distance — that discovery can unfold within familiar spaces, and that perspective alone can transform how a place is felt.
Here, the cosmos is brought closer to earth.
And London, for a moment, becomes something entirely new.
