The Mondrian hotel has anchored itself on the White Isle, ready to unveil its first full summer season on April 28, 2024.
Location of Mondrian Ibiza: Not just another hotel, the Mondrian Ibiza, with its 154 dream-like design-led rooms, plants its sophisticated roots in Cala Llonga’s enchanting natural harbour.Mondrian hotels are renowned for their spaces that speak volumes of art and culture. Located amidst the serene pine-clad hills, the hotel offers an immersive experience that includes sprawling views of the Mediterranean, all while being a stone’s throw away from the vibrant Ibiza town and Santa Eularia.
Design and art at Mondrian Ibiza: The creative minds of Beades Architects and Cuarto Interior have crafted spaces that complement Ibiza’s stunning geography. Guests are greeted at the lobby, characterised by its expansive glass windows, which seamlessly integrates the exterior landscape with the interior setting, providing a panoramic view of the surrounding natural beauty. This space is further enhanced by a carefully curated selection of artworks curated by the London-based collective Gone Rogue. This selection includes pieces like ‘ASH’ by Corine van Voorbergen and ‘Kissing of the Sun and the Moon’ by Lauren Baker, enhancing the entrance with a visual narrative that ties guests to the island’s soul.
The interior design, a collaborative effort by Beades Architects and Cuarto Interior, pays homage to old Balearic furnishings and the maritime heritage of the island. Signature design elements, such as intertwined natural leather webbing headboards, draw inspiration from traditional Balearic craftsmanship. Wooden slat cabinets in the rooms echo the dry docks of the Mediterranean, where fishermen maintain their boats and gear, further embedding the essence of Ibiza’s seafaring culture into the very fabric of the hotel’s design narrative.
Restaurants in Mondrian Ibiza: Mondrian Ibiza raises the bar with the introduction of two new dining concepts for the 2024 season. Niko offers a modern Japanese dining experience, while Sonrojo, a laidback chiringuito-style eatery, promises to keep the Balearic beats and delicious Spanish cuisine flowing. These join the hotel’s already impressive lineup of seven food and drink venues, each with its own unique flavour and ambiance.
Cultural hub of Ibiza: Mondrian Ibiza strives to become the islands’ cultural hub, with a curated programme of events that bridge guests with island creators. And let’s not forget the families, with amenities like an indoor playground and kids’ pool ensuring that memories are made for all ages.
Opening its doors on April 28, 2024, Mondrian Ibiza is now accepting reservations for those eager to indulge in its blend of luxury, culture, and culinary excellence.
